Established in 2008, SIFRUT is headquartered in Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico. Its Founder and Managing Director is Ramon Paz-Vega, a 40-year veteran of the Mexican avocado industry, who has wide experience in growing, packing, shipping, and marketing fresh produce, particularly avocados, in the global marketplace. In addition, he has advised and trained avocado growers and exporters from several Latin American countries during the last 8 years.

The main strategic resources of SIFRUT are twofold: on the one hand, its technical knowledge and expertise in growing and exporting avocados, supported by an experienced team of professionals. On the other hand, its extensive global networks, which include growers, packers, importers, distributors, and researchers. On these bases, the purpose of SIFRUT is to construct bridges in the international fresh fruit market. The company is committed to serve its customers and its suppliers, while contributing to increase the competitiveness, profitability, and reputation of the supply chain of which it is a part.

Its endeavors have been centered in professionalizing all and each part of the growing, packing, and shipping processes, in order to obtain high quality products at competitive prices. To support this effort, SIFRUT has developed and implemented a quality assurance system which allows monitoring and controlling the farming practices of its growers, as well as the grading, packing, and cooling practices of its packers.
